Construction Progress + Canyon Views

Posted on by Lauren Moss

Project Update // Work is coming along at this coastal property in Mystic Hills, Laguna Beach, and recent photos from the site convey new architectural forms in the context of beautifully framed views of the Southern California coastline.

laguna beach contemporary / front entry framing

With a minimalist exterior palette of clear siding, limestone and smooth stucco, the design of this single story home centers on its relationship to location, unique topography and access to light. Modern architectural massing frames the entry and approach at the low-profile street elevation.

At the rear, stone and wood give way to extensive glazing, with the combination infinity edge pool and koi pond extending the length of the facade.

canyon views / pool construction progress

This extension creates a truly open interior and underscores the strong connection to place, highlighted by large South-facing openings, clerestory windows and sliding door systems that connect living spaces to the canyon and ocean views beyond.

We look forward to seeing further progress and sharing imagery from upcoming site visits; in the meanwhile, revisit previous project posts for more information.
